Mr Rashid Zia graduated from King Edward Medical College in 1996. He completed post graduation in Ophthalmology in Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

He has since completed an Advanced Glaucoma Fellowship from East Kent Hospitals. Mr Zia is a member of the European Glaucoma Society and World Glaucoma Society.

He served in a charity organisation for a year to offer ophthalmic services to the underprivileged.

He specializes in complex cataract and glaucoma surgery having completed over 25,000 cataract surgeries. He is also very proficient with extracapsular cataract for complex cases. He also offers complex medical, laser and surgical glaucoma management for adults, ranging from microinvasive glaucoma surgery (eg. iStents, GATT and Kahook dual blade trabeculotomy).
